Framed Planet logo design

Travel photography workshop company Framed Planet wanted a logo which captured the essence of their business while avoiding the circular shutter imagery which is so common in photography logos.

Framed Planet’s founder Matt Widgery approached Arnott Design with the brief of visually merging the idea of ‘camera’ and ‘world’. We explored these ideas collaboratively with Matt to achieve the final result, creating a clean and simple ‘frame’ and a text-based logo. A blue and green colour palette was used to evoke the image of earth and travel. We also reversed the ‘F’ horizontally to provide balance to the ‘P’ and a nod to Matt’s quirky and exuberant personality.

We provided the logo in a number of formats so Framed Planet could use it across a variety of media, including merchandise.
